About the Summit

The Competitiveness & Security Business Summit (CSBS’26) is a leading business-driven policy event in Brussels, organised by Polish business and bringing together European policymakers and key stakeholders.

Business leaders, experts, think tanks and NGOs discuss Europe’s competitiveness, economic security and industrial transformation in a rapidly changing global environment, with a strong focus on moving from legislation to delivery.

Building on the success of previous editions, CSBS’26 strengthens the position of Polish business as a constructive partner in European policy debates.

The main theme of the event – security and competitiveness – will be the starting point for a debate divided into following sections:

Explore how imagination, science and creativity drive innovation and shape Europe’s long-term competitiveness. This session brings intellectual and cultural perspectives into the debate, highlighting the ideas behind technological progress and Europe’s New Industrial Order.

Turn decarbonisation challenges into opportunities to strengthen Europe’s industrial competitiveness, clean-tech development and raw materials autonomy. This session focuses on a holistic, value-chain approach to the green transition, addressing the tensions between climate goals, investment costs and the global competitiveness of European industry.

Reimagine the European approach to AI — smart, responsible and competitive — by focusing on implementation, industrial modernisation and real business impact. This session explores how streamlined digital regulation and Europe’s industrial and technological potential can accelerate the deployment of trustworthy AI and data-driven solutions, strengthening Europe’s smart industry.

Build industrial capability for Europe’s secure future by strengthening defence production, supply chains and security of supply. This session brings together public and private sector leaders to discuss capability gaps, joint procurement, innovation and the long-term competitiveness of the European defence industrial base.

Empower Europe’s strategic autonomy by strengthening food security, chemical and pharmaceutical production, and resilient supply chains. This session explores how European industry can maintain the capacity to produce what is strategically essential in the face of climate transformation and global competition.

Unlock synergies between finance and innovation to turn Europe’s competitiveness agenda into investable growth. This session explores how capital can effectively reach infrastructure, industry and scale-ups, addressing the missing financing link between innovation and market deployment while aligning public instruments, private capital and risk allocation.

Secure Europe’s value chains and access to critical raw materials essential for a successful clean and digital transition. This session focuses on strengthening strategic autonomy and economic resilience by reducing external dependencies and ensuring reliable, sustainable supply chains beyond recycling alone.

A space where the next generation of ideas meets decision-makers. This curated innovation arena gives young founders, researchers and early-stage innovators from Central and Eastern Europe the opportunity to present bold ideas and receive direct, forward-looking feedback from senior experts across business, academia and public administration.

Beyond the Summit Experience

CSBS’26 goes beyond debates and panels. Curated exhibitions, a cultural programme and a dedicated ZEN Zone create space for inspiration, informal exchange and balance throughout the Summit. Designed to complement high-level discussions, these spaces invite participants to slow down, connect and experience the Summit in a more human, reflective way.
